Takara Kabuto Single Speed Road Bike (02780)

The Kabuto is all about keeping things simple and getting it done without breaking the bank. At the heart of the Kabuto you'll find a strong hand crafted steel frame with horizontal dropouts that can handle the abuse of the big city. City riders told us that they didn't need derailleurs so we listened and outfitted the Kabuto with a flip flop hub so you can run it as a fixed gear or in standard freewheel single speed mode without having to worry about adjustments to temperamental components. The 32 hole alloy wheels roll on loud Kenda 700 x 32 tires that are capable of withstanding less than perfect roads. Front and rear alloy side pull brakes round out this spectacular spec.

The bike is definitely worth every penny at $180-- not amazing quality but it gets the job done and is comfortable to ride after some adjustments. $325 is a complete rip-off, wait for it to go on sale for $200 or less. I was very very pleasantly surprised. The bike is Awesome!!! It was delivered in less than a week and came extremely well packaged. I had it all put together in about a half hour and I'm not even mechanically inclined! I love this bike and I love it even more every time I'm out on it. I looks super sharp and I have had fantastic comments on it. I bought the 54cm and am 5' 6" and the bike is perfect fit. When you ride this bike you will feel like you are riding one that cost twice as much. I couldn't be happier with it. Very reliable, very comfortable.
