Product Description

Everybody’s got a dark side. For Charlie Sheen, it involves women and illicit substances. For Luke Skywalker, it was the Force. Some, however, prefer to show their preference for both evil and Espanol by riding El Diablo. Red rims and a black frame make this the perfect addition to your villainous fleet. (Even Satan himself can’t afford gas right now.)Retrospec was founded in 2009 in downtown Los Angeles to fulfill the need for a fixed-gear urban bicycle with transportation and style in mind. All of our frames are tig-welded and are available in many colors to fit your own unique style. We only use top quality components such as: Double walled super deep V wheels, 3 piece cranks, CST High Performance tires, Kraton rubber grips, riser style handlebars and KMC chains. With distribution on 6 continents and an ever-growing product line up, Retrospec is committed to providing you with a bike that is not only durable, but affordable as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME BIKE!!!, February 22, 2012
I rarely do reviews on products but I just could not resist for this one.
Let me start off by saying I've been road cycling for about four years now and own a few italian made columbus steel bikes and a $6k Wilier carbon road bike.

I was impressed right away with how well the bike was packed in the box. Assembly should be fine even for someone not familiar with bikes.
The cranks are already assembled to the bottom bracket so no need to have a bike shop put it together for you. Comes with "Wellgo" pedals with removable foot cages. I would suggest using a bike pedal wrench that's about $10 at your local bike shop instead of a crescent wrench when you install the pedals so you don't accidentally scratch the crank arm. Either one will work though. The 41mm Deep V wheels are great looking. Solid build quality for the price. There is a single sprocket on each side of the rear wheel so before installing the rear wheel make sure you decide if you want ride the freewheel... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Bike!, May 8, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I purchased this bike for my son after going to 4 diffrent stores. He loves red & black and this bike looked so good in the picture. I have to say it looked even better in person. It wash packaged very well and very easy to put together. I was a little hesitant to purchase this bike on line because I have never purchased a big item on line before, it was the best investment ever. It is a very sharp looking bike and my son gets lots of compliments on it. I will be purchasing a smaller fixie for my son in August. He wants one just like his brothers.
It arrived super fast I thought it would take a couple of weeks but arrived very fast just in time for his b-day.
GREAT PRICE
FAST SHIPPING
FANTASTIC BIKE!
Thanks a bunch!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but not for the price, April 13, 2012
It's an OK bike. The quality wasn't what I was expecting. I've been tooling arround on a fixie I picked up on ebay a few years ago for 1/2 the price of this bike. All in all the bikes are very similiar. I was expecting a better frame and components on the Retrospec but... I guess a higher prices doesn't necessarily equal better quality. That said, it's a decent bike. I'm not sure its worth the price though.
